Volunteer with the Stacks

Stack-Up’s mission brings both veterans and civilian supporters together through a shared love of video gaming. With the motto “Veterans are our Mission. Gaming is our Passion”, we welcome veterans and civilians who connect with that mission and want to help further it.

Stack-Up runs on the support of those who think like us. That’s true at every level. On an individual level, we’re helping bring comfort and friendship to veterans coping with PTSD or transitioning back to civilian life through our Stacks program. The support of individuals like you help make that single connection that can change a life.

Where are we?

We have locations across the United States and are expanding further into areas such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand! If there isn’t a stack in your area then maybe you’re just the person to get one started where you live!

What is a ``Stack``?

The Stacks are Stack-Up’s local teams of incredible people looking to get out there and do some good for the troops. We’ve got stacks in a variety of major cities not just in the US, but expanding around the world!

Getting Started

First, take a look at the map to see if there is a stack in your area. If there is, fill out the form below to join and get on board!

Creating a New Stack

Wait, I live in Middle-of-Nowhere-Burg, there’s no team near me!

If you’ve got the will and desire, then congratulations! Looks like you’re the person for the job! Just fill out the application below and we can get you started on setting up a Stack in your area!

Responsibilities

Okay, I came here to help troops and have fun! How do I do that?

You’re only limited by your imagination! Want to go grab BBQ with your team after volunteering at a homeless veteran shelter? Have an awareness-raising campaign outside your local GameStop while waiting on the next Call of Duty midnight release? Just talk with the rest of your team, figure out what you want to do, and go do it!

Interaction Beyond Fundraising

Are the Stacks just a fancy group used for fundraising for the Stack-Up?

Absolutely not. Sure, Stack-Up runs on the donations of others and we certainly won’t turn down support! However, the Stacks are organized for civilians and veterans to come together, volunteer to help out veterans in need, and hey, have a little fun in the process. We’re not there to shake people down every time you get together.

No Stack Close To You?

The Stacks are a core part of the Stack-Up team, they are a living breathing extension of the passionate people behind Stack-Up.org and we want you to be a part of that mission. Please fill out this volunteer application completely and one of our Regional Directors will get back to you ASAP to set up an interview.

"Madden and FIFA have become our go-to with tournaments running nightly and a white board dedicated to win-loss records. Rivalries are forming and guys are finding time to practice in between work and working out to sharpen their mad skills...morale is through the roof! Thank you again, the Supply Crate you sent has truly improved our living conditions and gives us a much needed form of relaxation. You may not realize it, but this will keep our sanity intact."
Daniel D.Special Forces Weapons Sergeant
Your Supply Crate not only made my Christmas, but made my year; this has really turned things around for me. Stack-Up is truly a thoughtful organization, designed to bring happiness to us vets who have an extremely hard time finding happiness anywhere in their lives.
Dane M.Disabled Army Infantryman
"I heard from a brother that you guys helped him out; to see that kindness still around is amazing. As a vet its hard sometimes, and having groups like yours out helping for nothing in return its great. Please keep up the great work and don't ever stop."
Nickolas S.SGT, Retired Army
...while we have all had various types of awesome care packages delivered to us over the years with toiletries, tobacco, and tasty treats, none of us have ever experienced anything quite like a Stack-Up Supply Crate.
Anthony B.Chief, Apache Helicopter Pilot
Working on the flightline, 12 hour days are normal and there are so many stresses that come with my job. Being able to come home and forget all of it for even an hour does wonders for me personally. I have built so many friendships in Stack-Up and I can't wait to make more. It's a family.
