We assemble care packages filled with video gaming and nerd goodness, delivered to veterans deployed to combat zones, humanitarian missions, recovering in military hospitals, or even to bases stateside in support of any number of family readiness missions. We strive to change a deployed service members experience while they are deployed: instead of focusing on how many days they have left in theater, we want them thinking about setting up an upcoming Madden or Call of Duty tournament with their battle buddies. And it’s not just about having fun: scientific studies show video gaming has been tied to helping veterans deal with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, stress, even help with pain relief!
Hey, I found my old 8-Bit Nintendo in the attic along with 20 copies of “Dennis Quaid Sings The Hits”, can I send it all to Stack-Up as a donation?
While there may be a specific desire for eclectic donations of “old school” games and gear, most troopers are looking for the latest and greatest in video games and gear.
We are accepting Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4, along with PC games, as well as random geek and nerd culture fun as well! Please make sure everything is in working order before sending it in!
If I donate something to Stack-Up, is it tax deductible?
YES Stack-Up is a registered 501C3 United States nonprofit organization approved by the Internal Revenue Service to be tax-exempt. Any donations, whether physical or cash, you provide to us over $250 in value will have a receipt sent out. If for whatever reason you have made a donation and have not received a receipt, please contact us and we’ll get one out to you!
